I’m taking advantage of this free minute to inform you that I am alive, absolutely healthy and feeling great. I can imagine with what delight people, including you, greet every message about the epoch procession of Soviet cosmonauts! You can imagine how much my friends and I are delighted by this as well. That's why I feel so good!
Today, May 20, 1998, the last wall between the Earth and the endless expanses of space was demolished with a firm hand! Our “Impulses” will connect Mars, Venus, Neptune and all other shores of the Soviet Union into a single unbreakable chain!
Пользуюсь свободной минутой, чтобы сообщить вам о том, что я жив, абсолютно здоров и чувствую себя великолепно. Я себе представляю с каким восторгом москвичи, в том числе и вы, встречаете каждое сообщение о эпохальном шествии советских космонавтов! Можете себе представить, что меня с товарищами это не в меньшей степени радует. Вот почему я чувствую себя так хорошо!
Сегодня, 20 мая 1998 года, твердой рукой снесена последняя стена между Землей и бесконечными просторами космоса! Наши "Импульсы" свяжут Марс, Венеру, Нептун и все остальные берега Советского Союза в единую нерушимую цепь!
